Take time to reflect

Today is Good Friday, a day when we traditionally remember the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. This year the “Easter” period coincides with the biblical Passover festival too.

Today take the time to reflect on the finished work of Christ, through his suffering and death on the cross. He is the true Passover Lamb and it is by the price he paid on the cross that the way is opened by his blood for us to dwell with God forever.

Consider what Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 5:6-8

Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

If you are in London you can join us as we worship together today at Worldwide Mission Fellowship.

Have a good, Good Friday.
